Onehealth Guedel Airway, also known as an Oropharyngeal Airway (OPA), is a medical airway adjunct device used to keep a patient's airway open (patent). It works by holding the base of the tongue from falling back and covering the epiglottis, thereby maintaining an unobstructed airflow, especially in patients with reduced consciousness.

Function & Use: 

- Maintain Airway: Prevents partial or total airway obstruction by the tongue.

- Bite Block: Can serve as a barrier to prevent the patient from biting the endotracheal tube (ETT) or their own tongue.
